What You Will Do

While continuing to hone your craft, you will

Provide leadership, organization, and field management of teams ranging from 5-25 journeymen and apprentices on a wide variety of electrical construction projects ranging from $250K-$5M
Start and manage projects including Controlled Take-Offs, material and labor budgets, correct phasing, time reporting, daily logs, and scheduled meetings
Continuously train and develop your teams to ensure employee retention and company effectiveness and efficiency
Manage daily production, safe installation methods, quality control, and high morale of your journeyman and apprentices
Strengthen existing client, vendor, and team relationships, and build new ones

What You Will Bring

Brief Description

The assistant project manager is responsible for the financial organization and tracking of electrical projects and implementing measures to increase the company's effectiveness and efficiency.

Job Specific Responsibilities
PROJECT START-UP

Prepare subcontract and obtain all required permits.
Prepare and maintain project schedule.
Preparation and buyout of purchase orders.
Prepare and enforce project strategy document.
Prepare and review submittals and shop drawings.
Prepare project budget and schedule of values.
Review files according to policies and procedures.
Review contract drawings and address RFIs.

FINANCIAL

Manage daily affairs to stay within budget and on schedule.
Project buyout and obtain quotes in a timely manner, including control takeoff of quotable items.
Price and settle change orders accurately.
Prepare gross margin statement with project team.
Prepare billing with project team.

PROJECT ORGANIZATION AND TRACKING

Distribute and maintain current drawings, specifications, and product data with changes and clarifications.
Responsible for subcontractor performance.
Adhere and enforce company policies and procedures.
Maintain personal project log.
Maintain master list with materials, submittals, RFI, & to-do list.
Responsible for getting materials released to jobsite.
Ensure weekly updates for material tracking.
Adhere to the contract documents.
Project documentation - (i.e. delays, back charges, claims).
Coordinate submittals by other trades.

PROJECT CLOSEOUT

Candidate is responsible for preparation of O & M manuals.
Review and submission of as-built drawings.
Prepare warranty documents.
Track punch list and ensure items are complete.
Ensure job site files and office files are consolidated.
Ensure all spare parts are turned over and signed, "received."

Qualifications/Skills Required

Project controls/coordination experience preferred.
Possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
Possess basic understanding of the electrical industry.

Prepare and revise Electrical installation models in Revit with minimal supervision and make sure all drawings adhere to department standards and procedures
Prepare electrical model content following electrical code and department standards
Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines through BIM coordination meeting attendance
Develop 2D Shop Drawings from Revit models for Field Team installation

What You Will Do

While continuing to hone your craft, you will

Provide leadership, organization, and field management of teams ranging from 5-25 journeymen and apprentices on a wide variety of electrical construction projects ranging from $250K-$1M
Start and manage special projects including Controlled Take-Offs, material and labor budgets, correct phasing, time reporting, daily logs, and scheduled meetings
Continuously train and develop your teams to ensure employee retention and company effectiveness and efficiency
Manage daily production, safe installation methods, quality control, and high morale of your journeyman and apprentices
Strengthen existing client, vendor, and team relationships, and build new ones
Demonstrate and embrace our company values, our PACT: People, Advance Process, Community, and Trusting Relationships

What You Will Bring

In addition to holding yourself to the highest standards and having a passion for being the best, you will

Have a minimum of 6 years’ electrical experience, and 2-4 years managing high dollar commercial or industrial electrical projects and large teams
Possess a growth-focused mindset and a passion for teaching and developing your teams
Possess a current Colorado State electrical journeyman license
Be willing to get LEED and NICET Leve 2 certifications with commensurate compensation increases
Be willing to travel with incentives

What You Will Do

Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications
Perform this work in a specific area of a production line in our Prefabrication shop
Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications
Work with electrical components like circuit breakers and electrical cabinet utilizing handheld tools like drills and screwdrivers
Maintain inventory of product in workstations
Maintain constant awareness and focus on safe work practices

What You Will Bring

Being at least 18 years old, you will

Have a passion for working with your hands and solving problems
Possess demonstrated mechanical ability
Be able to read blueprints and work orders
Be able to read/use a tape measure
Possess basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills as well as a normal range of hearing and vision
Be willing to commit to consistent, day-to-day on time attendance
Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment
Thrive on learning new things, be highly curious, and be open to direct and honest feedback
